Despite our low membership we continue to hold interesting, entertaining and educational meetings and these three are no exceptions. We have had two presentations by David Preshaw ( ‘The Hadrians Wall Walk) and Mike George ( The History and Origins of Religion) These were good practice sessions to help when speaking at outside engagements.. We also had our usual speeches, topics sessions, readings and evaluations. Two morec newcomers have arrived, Stephanie and Geraldine! They introduced themselves and seemed to enjoy the meetings, Stephanie has attended two meetings so its fingers crossed that they both return; we really do need them and two or three others to put the membership in a healthy position. Jess and David Preshaw did well at the Area Competitions, progressing to the District where they were unable to make the next step to the National final.
